I’m sorry if anyone was upset by this post. It was written way way back in November 2006- 6 lifetimes ago in the world of internet. http://call2arms.blogsome.com/2006/11/
Some southern born and dwelling readers told me it was offensive, told me why it was offensive and moved on. Apparently someone held on, took it as a personal attack and has been waiting to lash out. Gee whiz beav, I read a blog by a blogger who visited L.A. and hated it. She was scared by and disliked lots of stuff but I didn’t take it as a personal attack. I don’t need anyone to like me or the state, or the city. This place is too expensive to be in, if you don’t love it and adore it.
I really don’t understand the need to protect locations, maybe if I was a travel agent, or made money off tourism. Maybe if I was a builder or something and made money off homes being built. I love where I live and I love it enough for the people who hate it. I’m not blind to its problems, or its drawbacks.
It probably doesn’t make the offended feel better, but there are areas in L.A. County and parts of the Bay Area that I avoid, due to fear of being lynched or arrested and charged with a crime.
And the voting systems and policy in some states are archaic. If you are offended by that, you need to speak with your legislators, not me.
